Your guide will lead you to the Colosseum, the world's most famous amphitheater, illustrating its awe-inspiring structure and recreating the days when it was filled with the sounds of roaring animals, crowds, and the clashing swords of gladiators. Take a break for lunch at your own expenses. After this, you will visit the Vatican Museums. Here, Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel sits alongside works by Botticelli, Perugino and Bernini. Accompanied by your guide and pre-booked tickets, you'll enter in the Colosseum, one of the most famous monuments in the world, UNESCO Heritage Site, and one of the 7 wonders of the new world.
After the Colosseum, you will proceed to the archaeological site of the Roman Forum which represented the commercial, legal, and administrative center of ancient Rome. You will feel as if you were brought back in time during the Imperial age of Rome.
For lunch you'll be brought to a local, traditional trattoria, to enjoy a true traditional roman meal (not included in the price of the tour)
In the afternoon, you will visit the Vatican Museums with your guide. This vast complex houses one of the world’s most important art collections, assembled over centuries by the Popes.
At the end of the museum visit, you will enter the Sistine Chapel, famous for Michelangelo’s frescoes, including the Creation of Adam and the Last Judgment.
After the Sistine Chapel, you will exit into St. Peter’s Square, where you can admire the exterior of St. Peter’s Basilica, the heart of the Catholic Church. From the square, your guide will provide an overview of the basilica’s history, architecture, and significance.
