Private Tour of the Colosseum & the Vatican - Imperial & Vatican Itinerary
After meeting your guide at the designated meeting point, you will begin your visit to the Colosseum, the most iconic amphitheater of Ancient Rome. Inside, your guide will explain the history of the gladiators and the advanced engineering that made this monumental structure possible.
You will then continue to the Roman Forum, once the political, commercial, and administrative center of the Roman Empire. Walking among the ruins of temples and public buildings, you will gain insight into daily life in Ancient Rome, including key sites such as the Senate House and the area linked to Julius Caesar.
After the Colosseum and Roman Forum, you will travel with your guide to the Vatican area by Uber (not included). With skip-the-line tickets, you will enter the Vatican Museums and explore one of the world’s most important art collections, featuring works by Michelangelo, Raphael, Bernini, Botticelli, and other Renaissance masters.
The tour includes the Sistine Chapel, where you will see Michelangelo’s famous ceiling and the Last Judgment. Finally, through a special passageway, you will access St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest Catholic church in the world, home to masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s Pietà and Bernini’s Baldacchino. Throughout the tour, your guide will provide clear historical and artistic explanations.

Accompanied by your guide and pre-booked tickets, you'll enter in the Colosseum, one of the most famous monuments in the world, UNESCO Heritage Site, and one of the 7 wonders of the new world.

After the Colosseum, you will proceed to the archaeological site of the Roman Forum which represented the commercial, legal, and administrative center of ancient Rome. You will feel as if you were brought back in time during the Imperial age of Rome.

For lunch you'll be brought to a local, traditional trattoria, to enjoy a true traditional roman meal (not included in the price of the tour)

In the afternoon, you will visit the Vatican Museums with your guide. This vast complex houses one of the world’s most important art collections, assembled over centuries by the Popes.

At the end of the museum visit, you will enter the Sistine Chapel, famous for Michelangelo’s frescoes, including the Creation of Adam and the Last Judgment.

After the Sistine Chapel, you will exit into St. Peter’s Square, where you can admire the exterior of St. Peter’s Basilica, the heart of the Catholic Church. From the square, your guide will provide an overview of the basilica’s history, architecture, and significance.
